Your tomato is making me drool! The one tomato we actually had that was turning ripe was eaten straight off the vine by the damn dog yesterday. Don't know how I'm going to be able to protect the others once they start to ripen. It doesn't look like BLTs are in my immediate future, so I may have to live vicariously through your blog!
My sister's garden didn't do so well this year EXCEPT for her tomatoes and they are growing like weeds! Her favorite sandwich in all the world is white bread, sliced tomatoes and mayo (which sounds particularly horrible to me, unfortunately) and whenever she comes to visit me she always brings along a load of tomatoes! Since I don't do the sammies, she makes batches of pasta sauce, adding in bits of her homegrown yellow squash. Wish I liked raw sliced tomatoes. Sigh.
