...fly! ...be free!!

While our gardens are looking like this...

Many areas in our house (and on the porch!!) are looking like this...((BIG SIGH))
Yes. We are preparing to give LOTS of our 'stuff' wings. It is time for another Release Program (aka: garage sale.). (*I CANNOT take credit for this term! Please check out YARD SALE BLOODBATH for it's origins!!)Nothing is safe! As I've been 'taming' the flower beds, little samplings have been potted and labeled, ready for inclusion in the Mighty Release...MANY, MANY loads of 'stuff' has been sorted and hauled down from the attic...Amidst the cleaning and purging, I came up with an idea.... I don't know if it will 'fly' with 'salers' or not... I'm going to cut bouquets of live flowers, put in miscellaneous vases (of which, I have NUMEROUS Variations boxed to go!!) and price for a couple of dollars (vase included of course!!). What do you think? Will it help me get rid of the vases??
Here are a couple of samples of what they might look like... (in old shot glass!!)

(in floral vase)

Okay, times up for blogging. Parents are coming to town to join in on the fun... so I must clean, bake, get groceries, do laundry....

OK, first of all I love the term 'release program', that is cracking me up.

Second of all, that is a FABULOUS idea to put flowers in the vases!!! Best idea I have heard EVER to sell vases. Let me know how it 'flies', haha:)

I think the flowers is a great idea! I wish I could just browse all those boxes...you must have amazing "treasures" in there!!!

Ha - thanks for the link! And I too think the flower/vase idea is a good one. One time I had a moving sale and we had a "pre-sale" the night before for friends ... I had a deal where if you bought a glass, I'd make you a cocktail in that glass, but you HAD to take the glass away! Similar idea in a way ...

Good luck with the sale - I bet your flowers will sell well. I wish I lived closer to come smell the flowers and help you with the whacky garage sale customers. I always get some nutjob at mine...

Morning...thanks for stopping by my blog. your yard sale stuff looks like it will be a good sale..."release program"...cracks me up! wish i could have a release program, but the few times i've attempted a sale, the results were far from stellar. ran a great ad in the local pennysaver and just barely made enough to cover the cost. we're kind of out in the boonies, so i assume that had something to do with poor attendance. in the meantime, the goodies keep piling up!! :} *elaine*

I once bought a bouquet at a garage sale - was more interested in it than the vase, but they came together...it is like a little incentive to buy. Who doesn't like some flowers to make their day! go for it and good luck!
