...Pottery Overload!

I am on MAJOR POTTERY OVERLOAD!! DH never would have believed it could happen until he witnessed it himself!

Last Friday, in the wee hours of the morning (3am?!!) we departed Central NY for Indianapolis. The reason for the unearthly hour of departure? The knowledge that we would be making NUMEROUS stops in Ohio, at as many Pottery / Antique shops as humanly possible... and this we did!
9am sharp arrival at HALL!

(Can you read the writing on that Fiesta pitcher? - $7.95!! It looks so Great in our kitchen!!)

Beautiful sights along the way...

AMAZING antique stores FULL OF POTTERY!!!!!!
Mostly pottery from the old OHIO potteries.... Roseville, McCoy, Shawnee, Robinson Ransbottom, etc... but digging through the basements and high up on the back shelves I did manage to find a 'few' elusive pieces of Royal Haeger from Illinois!

Then we arrived in Indianapolis, even though our beloved Syracuse Orangemen weren't there - it was an amazing time!!

Pep rallies in the city...
Concerts in the park (Daughtry, Goo Goo Dolls, )...
LOTS of walking and siteseeing...
oh, and a couple of Basketball games too!

DH got souvenirs.

...and I got mine!
I just realized these are my first HAEGER purchases of 2010!! (#1-6)...

~AND~
2 HAEGER 'Toe Tappers' (#7, #8), signed Studio piece of HAEGER (#9) and a retro 70's planter (#10)!
Now, can you understand why I am on POTTERY OVERLOAD?!?! These are only a small fraction of the pieces that I was drooling over last weekend! (the small fraction that actually came home with us...)

Oh, and one little VERA silk scarf too!

2010 #9... $1 - how could I leave it in Ohio??

Sounds like a great trip - something for both of you!

I wonder what your count will be by the end of the year?

Shara- I've wondered in the past how many Vera, Haeger and Sweater Clips I buy in a year. This year I decided Thee Olde Blog would be a good place to keep track. Sorry if I'm boring everyone to death with it!!

That looks like fun. I've come to appreciate pottery lately. We're moving toward a kitchen (and home, mostly, except electronics) with no plastic.

How did I miss this post? What a great trip (although I would've passed on the sports part)--you got an amazing amount of stuff. The next time I go north to visit the in-laws I'm heading over to Ohio for sure!
